With the stakes season in full swing, the Stable That God Loves is chalking up impressive numbers at racetracks across North America.
During the past 14 days (July 10 to July 24) Stable members have registered 18 victories, boosting the season’s win total to 77, and hiking the Stable’s bank account to $1,804,793.
It was a banner night for The Stable on Saturday, July 23rd. Nvestment Blue Chip, co-owned by Michael Guerriero and partners and trained by Dave Menary, lit up Mohawk Racetrack’s tote board with a winning 1:51.1 mile in a division of the $105,000 OSS Gold Series; John Craig’s dynamic duo of Adrian Hanover and Luck Be Withyou, with combined season’s earnings of $200,000, both trained by Chris Oakes, reeled off a pair of victories at Saratoga Harness; and Devil Child, also a Chris Oakes trainee, registered a Saratoga Harness 1:52 track record-breaking performance for owners Susan Oakes and Crawford Farms.
The Meadows was the scene of a scorching stretch duel Saturday, with Jo Ann Looney King’s Newborn Sassy beaten a nose for all the money in a $79,480 division of the Pennsylvania Sires Stakes for three-year-old pacing fillies. Meanwhile, back at Mohawk Racetrack the ultra consistent and superbly talented Sintra, co-owned and trained by Dave Menary for Michael Guerriero and partners, finished second to phenom, Betting Line, in 1:50 in a division of the $105,000 OSS Series.
Uxbridge, Ont. horseman Norm Clements, who pledged 21 of his colourbearers to The Stable That God Loves, tops the Stable’s winners list with 15 trips down victory lane. Sintra is the leading dash winner with seven wins, Sunfire Blue Chip leads money-winners with $191,025, Sintra ($162,500) is second and Newborn Sassy ($153,031) ranks third.
Although there are five star performers, each with over $1 million in career earnings, bedded down on Millionaires Row in the Stable That God Loves, the Stable is reaching out to horsemen everywhere to join in supporting the important work of the Standardbed Racetrack Chaplaincy of Canada. The Stable is not looking for ‘big name horses and stakes stars’, but horses from the smaller outfits, as well. The Stable can accommodate every horse, regardless of ability, and stalls are always available and waiting for horses with heart who will help horsemen in need.

Thanks to the magnificent winning efforts of three-year-old pacing phenom, Betting Line, and his 80 stablemates, the Stable That God Loves is rocketing towards a record-breaking season campaigning at over 30 racetracks across North America.
Buoyed by the generous support of U.S. horsepeople, a consistent, hard hitting group of stakes-winning stablemates, and horses from tracks all over Ontario and Prince Edward Island, The Stable has upped its lofty win total to 141, surpassing by 28 victories the total number of wins recorded by The Stable during the same period in 2015.
Betting Line, who has reeled off 14 impressive trips down victory lane in 15 season’s attempts, including a 1:47.2 world record performance in the Battle of the Brandywine, and dominating performances in the Little Brown Jug and Gold Super Final, sent the Stable’s stats into overdrive with his steady string of highly impressive victories over the continent’s finest sophomore pacers.
The son of Bettors Delight-Heathers Western , who makes winning look easy, continues to pad his bank account with each outing. With a massive $1,698,096 already banked in 2016, he appears poised to significantly hike that total close to the $2 million plateau on the year in his two remaining starts in the Breeders Crown at the Meadowlands in late October and the Hap Hansen Pace at Dover in November, before heading for stud duty at the famed Hanover Shoe Farms.
Betting Line, owned by Christine Calhoun, Ross Warriner, Mac Nichol and trainer Casie Coleman, is one of six millionaires bedded down on Millionaires Row in the Stable That God Loves. His millionaire stablemates include, Rob and Wayne Giles’ Sunfire Blue Chip, John Craig’s Luck Be Withyou, Ed James’ McWicked, Charmed Life owned by Mike Guerriero and partners and Mac Nichol’s Madefromlucky, The Stable’s lone thoroughbred.
Joann Looney-King’s Newborn Sassy, campaigning in the U.S, ranks second on the Stable’s dollar roster, with six wins and $336,951 in seasonal earnings, Sintra sports eight victories and $294,500 in third spot, Rob and Wayne Giles’ Sunfire Bluechip is ranked fourth with five wins and $202,065, and Luck Be Withyou has five victories and $199,00 in fifth.
The horses of Uxbridge, ON. horseman and philanthrophist, Norm Clements, a major contributor to The Stable, have recorded an impressive 31 seasonal victories and $359,840.
A portion of the purse earnings of The Stable That God Loves will be donated to support the important work of the homeless Standardbred Chaplaincy of Canada that is dedicated to support the human needs of the horseracing workforce in southwestern Ontario.
Stalls are always available in The Stable That God Loves. Every trotter, pacer, and thoroughbred, regardless of ability, is welcome and guaranteed a stall. Please send requests for stall space to Ken Middleton: firstname.lastname@example.org, or Norm Clements: email@example.com.
